What is BYOK?
Bring Your Own Keys means you add your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or another provider. CodeHelm never proxies your requests — they go straight from CodeHelm's orchestration engine to your provider using your key.
Your key is encrypted at rest using AES-256, is never exposed in logs, and is visible only to your workspace. You stay in full control of your AI spend.
What is BYOS?
Bring Your Own Subscription means you connect an existing paid subscription — like Cursor Pro, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot — directly as a provider in CodeHelm.
You're already paying for these tools. CodeHelm lets you leverage them within a structured, monitored orchestration flow — without adding another AI bill.

What does 'orchestration' mean and why do I pay for it?
Orchestration is the scheduling, tracking, RBAC, logging, and monitoring layer that sits between your repos and your AI providers. You bring the AI access (keys or subscriptions); we provide the platform that makes it reliable, auditable, and team-friendly.
Do you mark up AI token usage?
Never. Your API keys connect directly to your provider. We never see your prompts or responses, and we add zero markup on token costs.
What is BYOK?
Bring Your Own Keys — you add your existing API key for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc. It's encrypted at rest and used only by your workspace.
What is BYOS?
Bring Your Own Subscription — if you're already paying for Cursor Pro, Claude Code, or Codex, you can connect that subscription to CodeHelm as a provider.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your billing period.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. New accounts get a 14-day free trial of the Pro plan. No credit card required.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe, as well as SEPA direct debit for European customers.
